For 18 years, the Swiss Tourism Awards are a prestigious international award given in Switzerland to highlight excellence in different segments of the tourism industry.

 

The Swiss Tourism Awards, official recognition of global tourism excellence, are presented during SIHE – Swiss International Holiday Exhibition in Lugano.

The Swiss Tourism Awards have represented since 2006 an official recognition of global tourism excellence, awarded by a Selection Committee of the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition, which carefully evaluates all details of the awarded destinations.

These awards are presented during SIHE (October 31 – November 2, 2025) and are bestowed in a ceremony attended by representatives from politics, the press, and the tourism industry.
Since 2010, the Swiss Tourism Awards have collaborated with Swiss institutional partners, such as USI – Università della Svizzera italiana, combining academic experience with the tourism industry to select, evaluate and promote tourism destinations and entities.

The awards aim to:

  • Promote high-level tourism.
  • Enhance unique natural and cultural heritage and structures and companies that excel in their sector.
  • Encourage the improvement of quality standards.
  • Offer winners significant visibility in the Swiss market
